English as a Second Language
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is designed to develop English language skills of adults who are either non-English speaking or have limited English speaking skills. Through participation in the ESL program, adults will increase their ability to participate in the community, the workplace and school as life-long learners.

Testing
Upon enrollment, students are given a short English assessment test to determine their level of English proficiency. The test results are used to place students in the appropriate ESL classes. Students are then tested using the standardized test for ESL students, CASAS, three times a semester to assess progress in order to move to the next level.
ESL/Citizenship
This course offers individualized instruction to prepare for the US Citizenship Test and interview. For more information and an appointment call: 650-550-7910.
Distance Learning: Learn English at Home
ESL lessons are also available through individualized instruction and online for students who are unable to attend regular classes. Matrials are provided. Complete the assignments, talk with the teacher and improve your English. For more information and an appointment call: 650-550-7910.
